NOTE:
Remove gas spring,
refer to 86 21 ... REMOVING GAS SPRING .
Remove ball pivot,
Refer to 86 21 ... REMOVING BALL PIVOT .

Remove ball pivot,
Refer to 86 21 ... REMOVING BALL PIVOT .
Release screws (1) and remove gas spring retaining bracket (2) from mounting bracket (3).
Installation:
Install retaining bracket so that it is centered in elongated holes.
Tightening Torque, refer to 86 21 HOOD .
