Module Controlled Functions
NOTE: The Smart Junction Box (SJB) is also known as the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
The 2 multifunction electronic modules on this vehicle are the:
- Driver Seat Module (DSM)
- Smart Junction Box (SJB)
Driver Seat Module (DSM)
The DSM is located under the driver seat. The DSM controls the memory functions of the memory seat positions and the adjustable pedals. The memory driver seat feature allows the driver to program a personalized seat position that can be recalled using the memory switches or the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. Refer to Doors, Hood and Trunk &/or Locks.
Smart Junction Box (SJB)
The SJB is located under the instrument panel on the driver side. It is a combination of a multifunction electronic module and an interior junction box. The SJB functions control multiple systems, which include:
- Accessory delay
- Battery saver
- Exterior lighting
- Heated rear window and mirrors
- Horn
- Illuminated entry and interior lighting
- Power door locks
- RKE system/keyless entry keypad
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Warning chimes
- Windshield wiper
