REMOVAL
1. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
2. Remove dual converter Y-pipe from exhaust system.
3. Disconnect Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) electrical connector.
4. Remove VSS shield from VSS.
5. Remove VSS retaining bolt and VSS from transaxle.
6. Remove retainer clip and speedometer gear from VSS.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.





2. Tighten VSS retaining bolt to 4-6 Nm (36-53 in lb).
