Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1998 Mercury Sable V6-3.0L DOHC VIN SSECTION Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the driver side air bag module.







2. Disconnect connectors for LH and RH speed control actuator switches by depressing locking tang and pulling switch printed circuit and connector end out of electrical socket in steering wheel.
3. Remove two Torx (R) head screws retaining each speed control actuator switch to steering wheel.







4. Remove speed control actuator switches from steering wheel.

INSTALLATION
1. Position two new speed control actuator switches onto steering wheel and install four Torx (R) head screws.
2. Connect two speed control actuator switch harness connectors.
3. Install the driver side air bag module.
4. Check operation of speed control actuator switches.
