Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments
1991 Mazda MX-6 L4-2184cc 2.2L SOHC Turbo F2SECTION Adjustments
Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:
1. Set manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.
3. Remove screw and move switch so that small hole is aligned with screw hole.
4. Set alignment by inserting a 2.0 mm (0.079 in) diameter pin through holes.
5. Tighten switch mounting bolts to 8 - 11 Nm (69 - 95 inlb).
6. Remove pin, install screw and tighten to 0.4 - 0.7 Nm (3.5 - 6.0 inlb).
7. Recheck continuity between terminals. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING.
8. If not as specified, replace switch.
