Standard diameter: 94.000 to 94.012 mm (3.7008 to 3.7013 in.)
Maximum diameter: 94.200 mm (3.7087 in.)
MAIN BEARING
Step 1

Install and uniformly tighten the 16 main bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 61 Nm (622 kgf-cm, 45 ft-lbf)
Step 2

Mark the front of the bearing cap bolts with paint.
Retighten the bearing cap bolts 90° in the order above.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.

Install 8 new seal washers and uniformly tighten the 8 main bearing cap bolts in several steps and in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 52 Nm (525 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf)

CRANKSHAFT
Maximum circle runout: 0.06 mm (0.0024 in.)

Maximum taper and out-of-round: 0.02 mm (0.0008 in.)
Crankshaft pin diameter: 52.992 to 53.000 mm (2.0863 to 2.0866 in.)
CRANKSHAFT OIL CLEARANCE
Standard oil clearance: 0.026 to 0.047 mm (0.0010 to 0.0019 in.)
Maximum oil clearance: 0.050 mm (0.0020 in.)
CRANKSHAFT THRUST CLEARANCE
Standard thrust clearance: 0.04 to 0.24 mm (0.0016 to 0.0094 in.)

PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTING ROD
Step 1

Install and alternately tighten the bolts of the connecting rod cap in several steps.
Torque: 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)
Step 2

Mark the front side of each connecting rod cap bolt with paint.
Retighten the cap bolts 90° as shown in the illustration.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH PIN
