ALL ENGINES
The valve guides are an integral part of the cylinder head. If valve stem to guide clearance is excessive, the guide should be reamed to the next oversize and the appropriate oversized valve installed. Valves are available in 0.003 and 0.015 inch oversizes for 4-150 engines, 0.0035, 0.0155, and 0.0305 inch oversizes for V6-173 engines and 0.003 inch oversize for 6-243 engines.
