ISOLATING COMPRESSOR

1. Connect suitable gauge manifold to system and remove protective caps from manual valve stems.
2. Slightly open both service valves toward mid-position, then start engine and operate air conditioning.
3. Slowly rotate suction (low) side service valve clockwise toward front-seated position.
4. When suction (low) side gauge reads zero, stop engine, then rotate both low and high side valves to the fully clockwise (front-seated) position.
5. Relieve internal compressor pressure on Sankyo 5 cylinder and York 2 cylinder compressors, by slightly loosening the oil sump filler plug. A suitable face shield should be worn when relieving compressor pressure.
