This speed control system is composed of a vehicle speed sensor which converts vehicle speed to pulse. The electronic control unit (ECU) receives signals from the sensor and control switches, which the ECU uses to control all automatic speed control functions. The actuator regulates the throttle valve to set opening signals from the ECU. This system has an alarm. When Set or Resume switches are On, the alarm sounds to notify driver that the control unit has received the On signal.
