Gauge Control Module Input Test
2006 Honda Pilot LX, 3.5 YF1, J35A9SECTION Gauge Control Module Input Test
NOTE:
If there is malfunction of the parking brake reminder and speedometer function simultaneously, troubleshooting the vehicle speed signal circuit first.
- Remove the gauge control module and disconnect the 36P connector B from the gauge control module (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT ).
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 3.
- Reconnect the connectors to the gauge control module, and make these input tests at the connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, the gauge internal circuit must be faulty; replace the gauge control module.REFERENCE CHART (GAUGE CONTROL MODULE DISCONNECTED)
