Keyless Receiver Unit Input Test
2006 Honda Pilot LX, 3.5 YF1, J35A9SECTION Keyless Receiver Unit Input Test
- Remove the glove box and glove box cover (see GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the keyless receiver unit (B).
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals are OK, go to step 4.
- Reconnect the connector to the control unit, and make these input tests at the connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.TERMINALS REFERENCE TABLE
Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if result is not obtained 1 BLK Under all conditions Check for voltage to ground: There should be less than 1 V. - Poor ground (G503)
- An open in the wire
5 YEL Ignition switch ON (II) Check for voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. - Blown No. 9 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
- An open in the wire
7 WHT/RED Under all conditions Check for voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. - Blown No. 13 (7.5 A) fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box
- An open in the wire
- Disconnect the 7P connector from the keyless receiver unit, and make these input tests at the connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, replace the keyless receiver unit.TERMINALS REFERENCE TABLE

3 GRN/BLU Under all conditions Check for continuity between the No. 3 terminal and passenger's multiplex control unit B1 terminal: There should be continuity. There should be no continuity to ground. - An open in the wire
- Short to ground
6 LT BLU Under all conditions Check for continuity between the No. 6 terminal and passenger's multiplex control unit B3 terminal: There should be continuity. There should be no continuity to ground. - An open in the wire
