Excessive engine oil consumption	Check the loose of the engine oil fill cap, oil drain bolt, and oil filter. Check for oil leaks. Check for worn valve guide(s) or worn valve stem seal(s): J35A9 engine (see VALVE STEM-TO-GUIDE CLEARANCE INSPECTION ) J35Z1 engine (see VALVE STEM-TO-GUIDE CLEARANCE INSPECTION ) Check for damaged or worn piston ring(s) (see PISTON RING REPLACEMENT ).
