Piston, Pin, and Connecting Rod Replacement: Reassembly

2002 Honda Civic SiSECTION Reassembly

  1. Assemble the piston and connecting rod with the connecting rod oil hole (A) facing the "IN" mark (B).

  2. Insert the pilot collar (A) into the piston and connecting rod.

  3. With the embossed mark facing up, place the piston assembly (B) on the special tool (C). Be sure you position the recessed flat on the piston against the lugs on the base attachment.
  4. Press the pin (D) in with the pin driver (E) and a hydraulic press.
