Tailgate Lock Knob Switch Test

2002 Honda Civic SiSECTION Tailgate Lock Knob Switch Test

  1. Remove the tailgate trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TAILGATE ).
  2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the actuator (B).

  3. Check for continuity between the 2 and 3 terminals in each switch position.
    • There should be continuity with the knob switch in UNLOCK.
    • There should be no continuity with the knob switch in LOCK.
  4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
