2002 Honda Civic SiSECTION Power Tailgate Outside Beeper Test/Replacement

  1. Remove the rear bumper (see REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the power tailgate beeper (B), then remove the beeper.

  3. Test the beeper by connecting battery power to the No. 1 terminal and ground to the No. 2 terminal. The beeper should click.
  4. If the beeper does not click, replace it.
