2002 Honda Civic SiSECTION DTC B1352: Power Tailgate Control Unit EEPROM Error

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.
  3. Remove the No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box, and wait for 1 minute, then install it.
  4. Open the tailgate with the keyless transmitter.
  5. Close the tailgate manually (not with the power tailgate switch).
  6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC B1352 indicated? 

    1. YES  - Replace the power tailgate control unit.
    2. NO  - Intermittent failure. The power tailgate system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the power tailgate control unit connector and at the MICU connector.
