2002 Honda Civic SiSECTION DTC B1957: MICU-Rear Junction Box Lost Communication with Combination Switch Control Unit (Headlight Switch Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A  ).
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
  3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
  4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC B1957 indicated? 

    1. YES  - Go to step 5.
    2. NO  - Intermittent failure, the communication line is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
  5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Are DTCs B1007, B1062, B1155, and B1555 also indicated? 

    1. YES  - Go to the combination switch control unit input test (see COMBINATION SWITCH CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST  ).
    2. NO  - Go to the MICU-rear junction box input test (see MICU - REAR JUNCTION BOX INPUT TEST  ).
