Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Obstruction Detection
When the power sliding door control unit detects an obstruction in sliding door path (change in sliding door motor speed), sliding door motor is stopped, buzzer sounds 3 times and motor reverses its direction. If power sliding door control unit detects an obstruction 3 times, the entire system will shut down and doors must be operated manually.
If shift lever is moved out of Park, or vehicle speed exceeds 3 MPH while sliding door is closing, buzzer will sound, door will stop momentarily, then door will continue to close rest of way.
