Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair
1995 Honda Del Sol L4-1.5L SOHCSECTION Service and Repair
1. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Disconnect battery negative cable, then positive cable.
3. Remove SRS unit left and right covers from SRS unit.
4. Disconnect SRS control unit connector.
5. Remove four SRS control unit mounting bolts, then control unit from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten attaching bolts to specifications.
b. After completing installation, place ignition switch in On position. SRS indicator lamp should be illuminated for approximately six seconds, then lamp should turn off. If lamp remains illuminated or does not illuminate, a problem in the SRS is indicated.
7. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
