Coolant Pump
Removal and Installation
1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding Service and Repair.
2. Loosen the 3 coolant pump pulley bolts.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
4. Remove the 3 coolant pump pulley bolts and the pulley.
5. NOTICE: Make sure the coolant pump is correctly seated to the engine block before installing and tightening the fasteners, or damage to the coolant pump may occur.
Remove the 3 coolant pump bolts and the coolant pump.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
6. NOTE: Install a new coolant pump O-ring seal and lubricate with clean engine coolant.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
7. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding Service and Repair.
