ISSUE
Some 2012 Focus vehicles equipped with a 2.0L GDI engine with S or SE trim level which are equipped with an AM/FM/CD system and not equipped with SYNC or SYNC/Sony and built on or before 5/15/2012 may exhibit the FCIM illumination flickering or prematurely dimming in low ambient lighting conditions.

ACTION
Reprogram the Front Control Display Interface Module (FCDIM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 80.02 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2012.7 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
