Bumper - Front

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Exploded View










Removal

1. Remove the front bumper cover. REFER to Bumper Cover - Front .

2. Position aside the LH (Left Hand) lighting wire harness.





3. Disconnect and position aside the active shutter and lighting harnesses.





4. Remove the 4 bolts and the lower radiator support.





5. Remove the forward PCM (Powertrain Control Module) case bolt.





6. Remove the bolt and position aside the horn assembly.





7. Remove the forward washer reservoir bolt.





8. Position aside the horn wiring harness.





9. Remove the upper radiator air deflector.





10. Remove the 2 lower radiator air deflector bolts.





11. Remove the 2 lower radiator grille support bolts and adjusters.





12. Loosen but do not remove one of the upper bumper nuts on each side. Remove the remaining nuts.

13. Remove the forward fender bolts.

Both Sides





14. Loosen as far as possible but do not remove the upper radiator grille reinforcement bolts.





15. With the help of an assistant, remove the previously loosened bumper nuts and carefully remove the bumper assembly.

Installation

1. With the help of an assistant, position the front bumper on the vehicle, center the bumper plate on the mounting studs and install the retaining nuts.
- 25 Nm (18 lb-ft)
Both Sides





2. Install the grille reinforcement panel lower bolts and adjusters.
- 23 Nm (17 lb-ft)





3. Install the grille reinforcement panel upper bolts.
- 23 Nm (17 lb-ft)





4. Install the forward fender bolts.
- 6 Nm (53 lb-in)
Both Sides





5. Install the lower radiator support.
- 25 Nm (18 lb-ft)





6. Install the horn wiring harness.





7. Install the forward washer reservoir bolt.
- 8 Nm (71 lb-in)





8. Install the horn assembly.
- 8 Nm (71 lb-in)





9. Install the lower radiator air deflector bolts.
- 4 Nm (35 lb-in)





10. Install the upper radiator air deflector.





11. Install the forward PCM (Powertrain Control Module) case bolt.
- 6 Nm (53 lb-in)





12. Install the active shutter grille and lighting wiring.





13. Install the LH (Left Hand) lighting wire harness.





14. Install the front bumper cover. REFER to Bumper Cover - Front .
