Seat Position Sensor
Removal
1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
- Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

1. Seat position sensor electrical connector (part of 14B723)
2. Seat position sensor (Service Part Number 14B416)
3. Seat position sensor locking tab (part of 14B416)
3. NOTE:
- The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct RCM fuse is removed and the ignition is on.
- The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
4. WARNING: Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Ignition must remain OFF until repair is complete. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.
Turn the ignition off and wait at least one minute.
5. Remove the seat position sensor in the following sequence:

1. Detach the seat position sensor wire harness retainer from the sensor mounting bracket.
2. Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
3. Pull the seat position sensor locking tab down to disengage.
4. Slide the seat position sensor back to disengage and remove it from the seat track bracket.
Installation
1. Install the seat position sensor in the following sequence:

1. Position the seat position sensor to the seat track bracket and slide it forward.
2. Push the seat position sensor locking tab in.
3. Connect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
4. Attach the seat position sensor wire harness retainer to the bracket.
