Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
NOTE: Use this procedure only for 150,000 mile / 10 year scheduled maintenance coolant replacement.
1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
2. NOTE: Do not perform the cooling system filling and bleeding procedure after installing a new coolant filter.
Refer to: Coolant Filter (303-03 Electric Powertrain Cooling, Removal and Installation).

7. NOTE: Use Flusher, Ford Engine 303-1525 or a commercially available coolant exchanger.
Drain hose.

Fill hose.
9. NOTE:
- Use Flusher, Ford Engine 303-1525 or a commercially available coolant exchanger. Do not exceed 138 kPa (20 psi) fluid pressure.
- Collect drained coolant for proper disposal.
Using 15L (15.8 qt) Motorcraft(R) Orange Antifreeze/Coolant Prediluted or a 50/50 mixture of Motorcraft(R) Orange Antifreeze/Coolant Concentrate and distilled water, exchange the coolant in the battery loop.
10. Test the coolant from the battery outlet hose after disconnecting the Flusher, Ford Engine or commercially available coolant exchanger with a refractometer. Temperature should be within the following range. If not, reattach the drain hose, reposition the clamping pliers and continue to exchange the coolant until the coolant tests within specification.
