REMOVAL
The windshield wiper control functions are performed by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove two nuts retaining fuse junction panel to dash panel.
3. Pull upper ears of fuse junction panel down and out of retaining bracket.
4. Turn fuse junction panel over. Remove screw retaining GEM to fuse junction panel.
5. Disengage and pull GEM away from fuse junction panel.
6. Disconnect three electrical connectors from GEM and remove from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten GEM retaining screw to 1-2 Nm (9-18 Lb-In).
3. Tighten mounting nuts for fuse junction panel to 4-6 Nm (35-53 Lb-In).
