- For non- Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) equipped vehicles, the fuel tank pressure sensor is located in the upper surface of the fuel tank in contact with the vapor space.
- For ORVR equipped vehicles, the fuel tank pressure sensor is located inline and serviced as a fuel vapor control valve assembly.
- It monitors pressure and vacuum inside the fuel tank and communicates this information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- The fuel tank pressure sensor monitors vacuum level inside the tank during the OBD II leak test of the evaporative emission system.
