1999 Ford Taurus V6-3.0L DOHC VIN SSECTION Description and Operation
The A/C clutch control relay is used to improve idle smoothness after engine start-up and to improve acceleration performance. The A/C is cutoff by turning off the A/C clutch for approximately five seconds under the following conditions:
- just after the engine is started.
- when the Throttle Position sensor (TP sensor) indicates a full throttle condition.
The A/C clutch control relay is located in the power distribution box.
