REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected or reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its fuel trim. The vehicle may need to be driven 18 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the fuel trim.
2. Remove the drive belt.







3. Disconnect the generator electrical connections.
1 Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
2 Remove the generator B+ cable nut and washer assembly.
3 Disconnect the generator B+ cable.







4. Remove the Generator (GEN).
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the generator.

INSTALLATION







1. Install the generator.
1 Position the generator.
2 Install the bolts.







2. Connect the generator electrical connections.
1 Connect the generator B+ positive cable.
2 Install the generator B+ nut and washer assembly.
3 Connect generator electrical connectors.
3. Install the drive belt.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
