Spark Plug Wire Remover:
SPECIAL SERVICE TOOLS
REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Use the Spark Plug Wire Remover to disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
CAUTION: The spark plug wires must be connected to the proper ignition coil terminal and spark plug. Mark the spark plug wire locations.
4. Squeeze the (A) locking tabs and disconnect the (B) spark plug wires from the ignition coils.
5. Remove the spark plug wires.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply Silicone Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A inside of the spark plug wire boots.
2. Make sure the spark plug wires are connected in the proper firing order.
