DESCRIPTION
The electrical load inputs are used by idle speed control strategy to prevent idle speed fluctuations when loads are demanded or turned off by the driver. Four circuits are used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to detect the ON and OFF status of the blower motor, daytime running lamps (Canadian vehicles), headlamps and the rear window defroster.

NOTE
You should enter this Pinpoint Test only when you have been directed here from Diagnostic Routines, or Pinpoint Test S.

REMEMBER
This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose only the following:

- Blower (BLR) motor input circuit

- Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) input circuit

- Headlamp (HDL) input circuit

- Rear window Defroster (DEF) input circuit

- PCM

When to See a Mechanic
