1. Prior to connecting or disconnecting the negative battery cable turn ignition switch and light switch off. Failure to do so may result in damage to semiconductor parts.

2. After connecting negative battery terminal start and warm engine. Allow engine to idle for approximately 5 minutes under the following conditions.
- Engine coolant temperature 185 - 203°F (85 - 95°C)
- Lights, electric fans, accessories OFF
- Transaxle neutral
- Steering wheel in center position
