2006 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 V8-6.1L VIN 3SECTION Assembly


ASSEMBLY

WARNING: To service any component of the SCCM, the entire assembly must be removed from the column. This must be done due to the clockspring passing through the assembly and into the self docking connector. Failure to remove the assembly could damage the pins of the clockspring and prevent the airbag system from operating properly.





1. Position the Steering Control Module (SCM) onto the multi-function switch.





2. Install the multi-function switch and SCM and tighten the three screws (1) from the bottom of the SCCM





3. Install the steering column telescoping lever (3).





4. Install the speed control switch (1).





5. If equipped with manual telescoping column, install the strut (1).





6. If equipped with electronic telescoping column, install the electric tilt lever and switch (3).





7. If equipped wit ESP, install the steering angle sensor and screw (3) located at the six o'clock position.





8. Install the clockspring and screws (1) leaving one out so it will not unwind.
9. Install the SCCM on the steering column, and tighten the one clockspring screw (1) that was left loose.
