Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Location:






REMOVAL

1. Drain approximately 2 quarts of coolant from the radiator drain plug.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the sensor with a suitable socket.


INSTALLATION

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Installation:






1. Apply sealant to the threaded portion of the sensor.

Specified Sealant: 3M Nut Locking P/N 4171 or equivalent.

2. Install the sensor and tighten to the specified torque.

Specified Torque: 15 - 29 ft.lbs. (20 - 40 Nm)

3. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Refill the radiator and check for leaks.
