Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection

1. Remove water temperature sensor.
2. Place sensor into water.
3. Measure water temperature and water temperature sensor resistance.
4. Ensure resistance is within specification shown in Fig. 82.

5. Ensure no continuity exists between each terminal of the water temperature sensor and the sensor body.
6. If results of test show negative, replace sensor.
7. Perform Water Temperature Sensor circuit test.
