Any diagnosis of the Power Liftgate System should begin with the use of a diagnostic scan tool. For information on the use of the scan tool, refer to the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures Information. 

Inspect the related wiring harness connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals. Refer to the appropriate wiring information for complete circuit schematic or connector pin-out information. 

Before any testing of the power liftgate system is attempted, the battery should be fully-charged.
