Removal Procedure
Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
- Pull rearward to clear the tab and remove the instrument panel outer trim cover (1).
Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

When removing, handling or installing this component wear protective gloves. The sharp edges on the component may be very sharp and may cause injury.
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Remove
Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Bolt (1) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module (2) - Remove
