Removal Procedure

2025 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV, RWDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Before removing the engine control module (ECM), record the oil life percentage remaining.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1 / 5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  3. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Steel Wheel) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Aluminum Wheel)

    {If equipped} Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  7. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Remove

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  9. Reposition the front wheelhouse liner rearward.

    Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors (1) from the engine control module.

  11. Use a suitable tool to pry back the locking tabs (2) securing the engine control module to the engine control module bracket.
