Installation Procedure
Install the assist step control module (2) to the assist step control module bracket (1).
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Assist Step Control Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [3x]
Install the assist step control module bracket (1), to the slots in the frame, and slide downward.
Using a inverted Torx bit, tighten the 3 assist step control module bracket bolts (1) by turning in the counter clockwise direction. Fastener Specifications
- Lower the vehicle.
- If service was performed in which the assist steps were put into the service position, it is necessary to perform the Self Test learn. Assist Step Learn
- If the assist step control module is replaced, it is necessary to perform the K4 Assist Step Control Module: Programming and Set Up. K4 Assist Step Control Module: Programming and Setup

When to See a Mechanic
