2025 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV, RWDSECTION Replacing Transmitters (Without SPS)
NOTE:
  • This procedure will unlearn all previously learned transmitters. All transmitters that are to be programmed must be with the vehicle at the time of service.
  • A minimum of two transmitters must be learned during this procedure. The vehicle will not exit the learn mode until at least a second transmitter is learned.
  • If vehicle theft is armed, this procedure will take approximately 2 hours.
  • A total of eight transmitters can be learned to a single vehicle.
  • This procedure will only learn the vehicle transmitter information. This procedure will not learn any immobilizer information between the body control module (BCM) and engine control module (ECM).
  • This procedure may be used with or without existing learned transmitters being present. If existing transmitters are present, keep the transmitters away from the vicinity of the vehicle. Failure to keep learned transmitters away from the vehicle will result in the learn changing to the Adding Transmitters procedure.
  1. Select Remote Learn in the Driver Information Center (DIC). make sure that at least one previously learned remote key is in the vehicle.
  2. Press Start under Remote Learn.
  3. Place new remote key on top of, or in front of, the start/stop switch.
  4. NOTE:

    For vehicles without RPO 5W4/9C1 transmitter pocket location can be found in the Owner's Manual - > Keys, Doors, and Windows - > Keys and Locks - > Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation.

    For vehicles with RPO 5W4/9C1 transmitter pocket location can be found in the Owner's Manual (Chevrolet Tahoe Police and Tahoe Special Service Packages) - > Keys, Doors, and Windows - > Keys and Locks - > Specific Cylinder Unit for Single Key - > Random Code System.

  5. Press the start/stop switch to learn the new remote key.
  6. Repeat previous steps to add more keys.
  7. To exit the programming mode, press and hold the stop/start switch for longer than 12 seconds.
