Removal Procedure

2025 Chevrolet Suburban LS, RWDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1 / 5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9) 
  2. Remove the oil fill cap.

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove

  4. Disengage the intake manifold cover (2) from the intake manifold.
  5. Install the oil filler cap after removal of the intake manifold cover to prevent debris from falling into the engine.

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Loosen [2x]

  7. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct (2) - Remove

    Hood Latch Actuator Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  9. Hood Secondary Latch Release Handle (2) - Remove

    Intake Air Baffle Retainer (1) - Remove [9x]

  11. Intake Air Splash Shield (2) - Remove

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

  13. Air Cleaner Housing Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
  14. Air Cleaner Upper Housing (2) - Remove

    Remove all retainers from air cleaner lower housing.

  16. Electrical Connector (1) @ Air Cleaner Lower Housing - Remove

    Air Cleaner Nut (1) - Remove

    Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Bolt (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Clip (2) - Unclip [4x]

    Generator Battery Jumper Cable Fastener (2) - Disengage

  24. Generator Battery Jumper Cable (1) - Reposition

    Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  26. Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (4) - Remove
  27. Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (3) - Remove
  28. Engine Wiring Harness Bracket (2) - Reposition
  29. Engine Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (5) - Remove
  30. Ring Terminal (6) - Reposition

    Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Clip (1) @ Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud - Remove [2x]

    Rotate the accessory drive primary belt tensioner (1) clockwise to release the drive belt tension.

  33. Slide the accessory drive primary belt (2) off of the generator pulley and slowly release the accessory drive primary belt tensioner (1).

    Belt Idler Pulley (1) - Remove

    Radiator Inlet Hose Clip (1) - Unclip

  36. Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Remove [3x]

    Generator Bolt (2) - Loosen until disengaged

  44. Reposition hoses and wiring harness as needed.
