    Automatic Transmission Electronic Control (5) @ Turn Signal Switch Bracket (3) - Install

  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Automatic Transmission Electronic Control Bolt (4) @ Turn Signal Switch Bracket (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  4. Turn Signal Switch (1) @ Turn Signal Switch Bracket (3) - Install
  5. Turn Signal Switch Bolt (2) @ Turn Signal Switch Bracket (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Install the turn signal switch bracket (1) as an assembly.

    NOTE:

    Engage the left and right turn signal switch bracket retaining tabs (1).

    Tighten the turn signal switch bracket band clamp (1) to specification. Fastener Specifications

    Wiring Harness Clip (1) - Install

  10. Connect the electrical connector. (2)

    NOTE:

    Ensure the 5 integral retainers are fully engaged.

    Ensure the steering wheel airbag coil is CENTERED during installation. Steering Wheel Airbag Coil Centering

  14. Steering Wheel Airbag Coil (1) - Install
  15. Connect the electrical connector.

    {If equipped} Connect the electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

  17. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover (1) - Install

    Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    {If equipped} Connect the electrical connector and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

  20. Secure the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) to the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.

    Steering Wheel (2) - Install

  22. Connect the electrical connector.
  23. If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  24. Steering Wheel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  26. Install any connector position assurance (CPA) devices or secondary locks.
  27. WARNING:

    After installation of the steering wheel airbag module to the steering wheel, slightly pull the module outward. If there is no give on the airbag module then it is secured correctly. If the airbag module is not fully attached personal injury could result.

    Steering Wheel Airbag Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Steering Wheel Airbag Access Hole Cover - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

  31. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  32. Return the steering column to the original position.
