    Intermediate Steering Shaft Boot (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install and tighten the 3 steering column seal nuts (1). Fastener Specifications

    Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Intermediate Steering Shaft - Install

    If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:

    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  5. Mid Intermediate Steering Shaft Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  6. Remove the device used to prevent steering column rotation.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner (1) - Install

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Install

  11. NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    {If equipped} Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  15. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Steel Wheel) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Aluminum Wheel)
