Removal Procedure

2025 Chevrolet Equinox RS, FWDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Rear Seat Back Cushion - Right Side - Remove - Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Left Side) , or Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Right Side)

    Depress lock button on luggage shade, one side at a time, while pulling inward to disengage integral luggage shade spring from quarter lower rear trim panel.

  4. Luggage Shade (1) - Remove

    Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt - Right Side (1) - Remove

  6. Cargo Tie Down Loop - Right Side (2) - Remove

    Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  8. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding - Right Side (1) - Remove

    Load Floor Trim Panel (1) - Remove

    Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim (1) - Remove

    Rear Compartment Floor Stowage Compartment Divider Retainer (1) - Remove [4x]

    Liftgate Lock Striker Cover (1) - Remove

    Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  15. Liftgate Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Remove

    Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  17. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel - Right Side (1) - Remove
  18. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

  20. Release the retaining tabs.
  21. Remote Function Actuator Module (1) - Remove
