Removal Procedure

2025 Chevrolet Equinox ACTIV, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Fold the assist handle downward and hold.

  3. Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
  4. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
  5. Roof Rail Assist Handle- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

    Use an appropriate tool to release the lamp from the headlining trim panel.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Roof Rail Rear Seat Position Reading and Courtesy Lamp (1) - Remove

    Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]

  10. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

    Pull away lower trim panel firstthen pull away the upper trim panel and remove the upper trim panel with seat belt running through it.

  12. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]

    Remove the 2 headlining trim panel retainers.

  14. Lower the headlining trim panel (1) enough to gain access to the part.

    NOTE:

    No need to remove the bracket

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  16. Release the retaining tabs.
  17. Telematic Control Module (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    The bracket is fragile. Remove it carefully

    Release the connector clip. (1) - Remove

  19. Release the clips with a suitable tool.
  20. Communication Interface Module Bracket (2) - Remove
