Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Fold the assist handle downward and hold.
- Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
- Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
- Roof Rail Assist Handle- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
Use an appropriate tool to release the lamp from the headlining trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Roof Rail Rear Seat Position Reading and Courtesy Lamp (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Pull away lower trim panel first, then pull away the upper trim panel and remove the upper trim panel with seat belt running through it.
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]
Remove the 2 headlining trim panel retainers.
- Lower the headlining trim panel (1) enough to gain access to the part.
- NOTE:
No need to remove the bracket
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Release the retaining tabs.
- Telematic Control Module (1) - Remove
Release the retaining tab.
- Remove the communication interface module battery cover (1) to access the component.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Communication Interface Module Battery (2) - Remove
