Folding Top Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Warning Servicing Electrical Components Warning.
1. Place the folding top with the #1 bow and #5 bow in the up position.
2. Open the stowage compartment lid (1).
3. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
4. Remove the radio rear speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Coupe) Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Coupe)Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Convertible) Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Convertible).
5. Remove the rear compartment closeout panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Closeout Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Closeout Panel Replacement.
6. Reposition the folding top stowage compartment lower carpet (2) to expose the control module. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe).
Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the folding top control module (2).
7. Remove the control module (4) by lifting up to release the hook and loop fastener.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the module and connect the electrical connectors (3) to the folding top control module (4).
2. Install the rear compartment closeout panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Closeout Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Closeout Panel Replacement.
3. Install the radio rear speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Coupe) Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Coupe)Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Convertible) Radio Rear Speaker Replacement (Convertible).
4. Reposition the folding top stowage compartment carpet (2). Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe).
5. Close the stowage compartment lid (1).
6. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation Power Folding Top.
7. Refer to Control Module References Control Module References for programming and setup information.
