Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the door radio speaker assembly.
* Remove the screws mounting the speaker assembly.
* Disconnect the electrical/audio connector.
4. Remove the window clamp sight access plugs.
5. Reconnect the window switch.
6. Use a suitable tool, set the door latch (fork bolt) to the close (lock) position.
7. Reposition the window full up to access the window clamp nuts.
8. Disconnect the window switch.
9. Using the door lock touch pad, move the door latch (fork bolt) to the open (unlock) position.
10. Mark the location of the window.
11. Loosen the window clamp nuts.
12. Remove the window through the top opening of the door.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the window, through the top of the door, to a regulator that is in the full up position.
2. Align the rearward glass clamp within the alignment marks on the window.
3. Loosely tighten the rear window clamp nut.
4. With the aid of an assistant standing outside the vehicle position the window to the door opening.
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
5. From inside the vehicle tighten the window clamps.
Tighten the window regulator window clamp nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
6. Open the door and install the window clamp access plugs.
7. Install the uppermost screw mounting the radio speaker assembly to the door.
8. Install the remaining screws in a criss-cross pattern.
Tighten the door speaker assembly screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
9. Connect the electrical/audio connector.
10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.
12. Perform minor height and tip-in adjustments as necessary. Refer to Door Window Minor Height Adjustment Door Window Minor Height Adjustment or Door Window Tip-In Adjustment Door Window Tip-In Adjustment.
