Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement Steering Wheel Replacement.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim cover assembly. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Manual) Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Manual)Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Telescoping) Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Telescoping).
3. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch wire harness straps from the steering column housing assembly and the steering column.
4. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch wire harness assembly from the wire harness strap.
5. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).
6. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly (2).
Installation Procedure
Note: The turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch contact must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.
1. Install the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly (2) to the steering column assembly.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Install the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).
Tighten the screws to 11 Nm (97 lb in).
3. Route the wire turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch harness assembly along the steering column jacket assembly.
4. Install the wire turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch harness assembly into the wire harness strap.
5. Install new wire harness straps to the steering column housing assembly and the steering column.
6. Install the upper and lower steering column trim cover assembly. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Manual) Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Manual)Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Telescoping) Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Telescoping).
7. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement Steering Wheel Replacement.
