Transmission Fluid Level Inspection





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle; ensure that the vehicle is level. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug hole.

3. Remove the transmission fluid fill plug.

4. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Ensure that the fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.

5. Add transmission fluid, if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

6. Install the transmission fluid fill plug hole.

Tighten the transmission fluid fill plug hole to 27 Nm (20 lb ft).

7. Lower the vehicle.
