Service Ports Replacement

Special Tools

J 39037 - Charge Valve Octagon Socket

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the service port cap.

2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.





3. Use the J 39037 - Charge Valve Octagon Socket to remove the service port.

Installation Procedure

1. Replace the O-ring. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the service port valve and tighten to 11 Nm (98 lb in).

3. Evacuate and charge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.

4. Leak test the A/C service port. Refer to Leak Testing Leak Testing.

5. Install the service port cap.
